Biography

ANDREW MCKEOWN studied BA (Hons) Fine Art (sculpture) at Coventry University where he graduated in 1993. Since then Andrew has completed many large scale sculpture commissions throughout the U.K. for local councils, housing developers and environmental agencies such as Groundwork U.K. and Yuill, Miller and Haslam Homes.

Andrew’s creative work is concerned mainly with sculpture and particularly the process of casting. Casting as a process informs and influences his work in both a practical and conceptual way. Andrew’s work is inspired by themes of growth, change and renewal and his sculptures are often cast in durable materials such as iron, steel, bronze and stone.

For over ten years Andrew has been delivering quality Public Art Projects with the involvement of local people and schoolchildren through consultation and practical workshops.
